ROS decomposes foreign substances such as bacteria invading the body, it transforms into hypochlorous acid, and it is active.
The reason is that a large amount of enzyme called myeloperoxidase exists in neutrophils, it reacts hydrogen peroxide, which is a type of ROS, with chlorine ions to produce hypochlorous acid. Neutrophils are white blood cells working at the forefront of defense to eliminate microorganisms in the body, protect the body from bacteria and others.
